Darrel Stele: Honda Foreign
Ronnie Panas: Well, consider this.Toyota makes a lot of their cars in the US.So does Honda.Acura is under honda, and almost all of their cars are made in the USA.Lexus is under Toyota, same thing.Mitsubishi, makes a lot of their cars in Illinois.Chevrolet makes most of their cars in Canada and Mexico.So...how do YOU define foreign? If you consider a car foreign, because it isn't made here....then don't buy an American car like GM. Buy a Mitsubishi that is made by Americans, in America.Edit: GM was started in America? GM is an American Company? Really? Who fed you that lie?GM Consists of: Buick: Created by a Scottish immigrant.Cadillac: Named after a French ExplorerChevrolet: Created by a Swiss immigrantOpel: German basedVauxhall: Great Britain basedHolden: Austrailia basedClearly, an "American" company, with such an "American" heritage. Go look up the new Chevrolet Camaro. The PARTS AND CAR are both made in Canada. It is not made here. IT ! IS A FOREIGN CAR by your definition.Get an education, son....Show more
Toby Women: Many of you ask how I define foreign. To me a foreign car would be one that gets its parts from over sea. I know that most, if not all, car manufactures are transnational corporations and do work all over the world. The cars sold here in the US are assembled in the US, but get parts either in the Americas or over sea. American companies have factories in places like Mexico to make their parts. Foreign cars make their parts in places like Japan. Also foreign cars are companies that originated over seas. Toyota and Honda started in Japan and came to America. GM started in America. GM is an American company. Toyota and Honda are foreign. Also through my experiences, the foreign cars last longer without problems because their parts are better. Thanks to all who answered previously to let me know what i need to change. Thanks to all who answer....Show more
Jose Bouliouris: No such thing! as the above answers illustrate. It is a global world. Niss! an has engine and transmission from Japan but it is manufactured in Tennessee. GM makes the engine and transmission but it is manufactured in Mexico.
Travis Colomb: This Site Might Help You.RE:What cars are the foreign cars?I'm looking into getting a car, and i want to know what makes of cars are the foreign ones and what other companies the big companies have under them. Example: I know that Toyota and Honda are both foreign and Toyota also has Lexus under them. Thanks if you could help....Show more
Anton Waln: No one is mentioning the design and origin of the blueprints. If the cars weren't "designed" and "specked out" by American designers then I would call them foreign regardless of where they are manufactured or assembled. What part of the profit margin goes to the design and creation. That would be the question I ask.
Neville Dautremont: For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/awYoTAccording to Consumer Reports and many other! publications Japanese/Asian cars still claim the highest reliability ratings, followed by American cars, and lastly the European brands. American cars still have the cheapest parts though aftermarket parts for Japanese models are pretty competitive with the American models (axles, brake components, etc.) On the high-end European and Japanese parts still command a premium price....Show more
Terrell Lawman: That's a very complicated question. Is a foreign company that makes its cars in manufacturing plants in the United States making foreign cars? What about if the seats are made in a foreign factory and the engine is made in a foreign factory, but it is all assembled in the United States?Ford is an American company that has much of its production overseas. Honda is a foreign company that does most of the manufacturing here for the cars it sells here....Show more
