How does this radio diagram work?

Donald Caravalho: Do you want "how does this radio works"? The diagram works by visual, lines on a paper represent electrical components and their interconnections. There is a capacitor across the coil, either physical or due to the other components. That with the coil forms a resonant circuit tuned to the frequency you wish to receive. Then that frequency is picked up by the antenna, selected by the tuned circuit, and rectified by the diode. That rectification removes the RF leaving the audio signal.
