Are most disney animation of 30s and 40s cell, or limited animation?

Rona Espalin: cell. Limited animation really didn't even come in till the increased sophistication of the fifties and sixties, and Disney was late to it because its focus on the aftermarket (most Disney films really did lose money their first runs) meant it was selling high end product, mostly.

Abel Adger: Disney created full cel animation so as to create high-quality work. Limited animation was developed to reduce the effort and speed up production to meet the demands of television scheduling.
