Danyell Rowback: I don't know the laws in IL. Every states laws are different and sometimes there are city requirements too. I would contact your local school board they should be able to tell you the requirements. Where I live you can start any time during the year and it costs nothing directly. You will have to buy curriculum and might have to submit lesson plans to the city. You can just buy textbooks to learn from, enroll in online courses, or go to local homeschooling groups for classes. I was home schooled 4th grade - 12th grade and I really enjoyed it. There are home school groups everywhere so socializing really isn't a problem. Eulah Hugill: why! would u want to be home schooled? when u go to an actual school u interact with other kids and become social. u will have TONS more friends if u do that. home schooling will hurt u long term when it comes to networking and creating relationships with people and business partners.
