Rosalyn Olivera: by the very nature of science, research costs money !only problem is nobody wants to invest money to research a subject until A: it concerns or affects them personally, B: there are financial gains to be had. until fairly recently mental illness was hidden away somewhere in the corner of the dark closet that calls itself humanity. people with mental illnesses are still treated like second class citizens,(check out the benefits agency) and the limited amount of resources avaliable. these limitations didnt just happen to be there they were put in place by someone, also how can we trust that any research done gives truthful answers and not answers that are tarnished by hidden agendas &political/financial pressures.the funding needed for this sort of research can only be provided by local government or large organisations who are both self-regulating and both have their own agendas.get the picture.mental health and gobal warming may well turn out to have "st! rong links " to each other but who`s conflicting advice do we trust and why. why not just stop paying lip service to problems like this that effect everyone one the planet and just do the right thing from a moral point of view ? and dont even get me started on religion ! scientifically(?) yours isnertam...Show more
