What do you think Beauty is?

Carlton Lastrapes: It seems to be a value-driven abstraction superimposed by the mind on particular sets of data communicated by one or more of the senses.

Majorie Chester: PoeticallyBeauty is harmonious qualities blended into one.Simply: Beauty is a function of quality and the harmony of those qualities in composition.Example:Look at a country landscape; it is not beautiful if an eyesore factory is in it. It breaks the harmony of the qualities that were in composition (or a pimple on an otherwise beautiful face)....Show more

Mohamed Szollosi: Symmetry. makeup is good too. the romans used it!

Porfirio Cahall: beauty to me is so many things. it is a new born child. the symbolism of a fresh beginning. the first blossoms on a tree as it awakens after it's winter spell. the daffodils nodding in the breeze. the whisper of the wind in the trees. the first glimpse of the ocean through the trees on a hot day. the sound of water trickling in a creek bed. good soa! king rain replenishing the earth and my tanks, the blue wrens playing in my garden, the sound of laughter, the sight of home when you have been away and most of all the smile on my husband, childrens and grandchildrens faces....Show more

Doreatha Kjellsen: Beauty is subjective and never a definitive truth. I would argue that the mind itself is beauty.

Bennie Lantgen: Beauty is everything in this world.

Sena Highman: I saw a news report that said beautiful people have more girls than boys for their children. I did not understand it. How could this be a scientific study. What criteria was used to decide what is beautiful. What is beautiful to you may not be to me. That is why you asked, "In your opinion". Well; I appreciate this opening, you provided, to vent my frustration on this.I really believe that beauty is in heart. A face that is loving what it sees is beautiful. A mother loving her child is beautiful for example. Also, the grandeur of natur! e such as a sunset or the grand canyon is beautiful...Show mor! e
