Arlen Lopiccalo: the best way is to first make sure you have gently scraped off all tissue from he skin. then tack it to a board and salt it down to remove the moisture. after a couple of days, brush off all the salt and brush on ethelene glycol ; the primary ingredient in anti-freeze. leave this to dry for several days. repeat at least three times until the skin is tanned. this method will produce a soft pliable skin that does not loose it's color.
